Devontae Lane was hired as a WKU Men's Basketball Graduate Assistant in August of 2024.
Lane graduated from Central Michigan, earning a bachelor’s degree in Community Development. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Sports Administration with a minor in Athletics and Coaching.
Lane played two seasons at Central Michigan, starting most games and averaging 8.8 points, 3.2 rebounds and 3.3 assists overall while ranking among the team leaders in steals and assists. Prior to CMU, he played at Indian Hills Community College, contributing to a 33-1 season and an NJCAA No. 1 seed, and earned all-state honors in high school, surpassing 1,000 career points. Lane played for current Mahurin Family Foundation WKU Head Men's Basketball Coach Hank Plona while at Indian Hills.
Lane is from Chicago, Illinois and currently resides in Bowling Green.
