2024 (Sr.) | 12/0: Edwards played in 12 games during his one season at WKU. He recorded 11 total tackles, with 1.5 for loss and one sack. He also had two pass breakups, two quarterback hurries and a fumble recovery. Edwards had multiple tackles in three games – at Alabama, against Toledo and at New Mexico State. His sack came in WKU's Oct. 16 win at Sam Houston and his fumble recovery came in the same game.
Before WKU: Edwards appeared in all 14 games Troy played during the 2023 season. The defensive end recorded 18 tackles, with one tackle for loss and one sack, in his lone season with the Trojans. He also had a quarterback hurry, two pass breakups, and blocked one kick. He had a season-high four tackles at Southern Miss on Nov. 25. Edwards spent his first four seasons in college at Louisville, appearing in 20 games during that time, including eight games in his final season there in 2022. He had six tackles as a Cardinal, with 0.5 for loss.
HS/Misc.: Edwards was a standout defensive player at Starkville High, where he played both linebacker and defensive end. He was a three-year starter and a captain for both his junior and senior seasons. Over his final two prep seasons, Edwards recorded 204 tackles, with 62 tackles for loss and 20 sacks. He was rated a three-star linebacker by 247Sports and Rivals, and was named to the First Team All-USA Mississippi Football Team. He led Starkville High to a runner-up finish in the MHSAA Class 6A State Championship Game. He was a First Team All-State selection in Class 6A as a senior.
