2023 (r-So.) | 4/0: Taggart appeared in four games in a special teams role in his first season on The Hill. He transitioned to wide receiver with WKU, and served as the team's holder on kicks for the last four games of the season, including for Lucas Carneiro's game-winning kick in the Hilltoppers' 38-35 overtime victory against Old Dominion in the Famous Toastery Bowl.
Before WKU: Taggart transferred to WKU after spending three seasons at Florida Atlantic. He appeared in 18 games through three years, and recorded statistics as a passer, rusher and receiver. Taggart's biggest season came in 2022 when he played in 11 games and scored a rushing touchdown.
HS/Misc.: Taggart prepped at Florida State University High School in Tallahassee, Fla. He threw for 2,165 yards and 20 touchdowns as a senior and finished his high school career ranked as a three-star recruit and the number 36 dual threat quarterback in the country according to ESPN. Taggart is the son of former Hilltopper great and head coach Willie Taggart.
