2022 Conference USA Special Teams Player of the Week (Oct. 17)
2023 (r-So.) | 9/9: Ellard appeared in WKU's first nine games of 2023 as the starting punter. He punted 46 times for 1,886 yards – an average of 41 yards per punt. Of his 46 punts, 17 resulted in fair catches, 15 landed inside the 20-yard line, and four were for 50-plus yards. He punted a season-high seven times in two games – at Louisiana Tech on Oct. 5 and at Jax State on Oct. 17. Ellard posted a season-long 60-yard punt during WKU's 21-13 win at UTEP on Nov. 4.
2022 (r-Fr.) | 13/0: Ellard appeared in 13 of WKU's 14 games on the season, serving as the punter for the Hilltoppers. He punted in every game except for WKU's win over Rice when the Tops did not record a single punt. Ellard punted 43 times on the season for a total of 1,824 yards, putting his average for the year at 42.4 yards per punt. He pinned opponents inside the 20-yard line 18 times for the year, and booted six punts of 50 yards or more. After a big week in which he helped WKU defeat rival Middle Tennessee, Ellard was named C-USA Special Teams Player of the Week. In that game he punted five times for 233 yards with a season long of 64 yards and two punts inside the 20. At season's end, Ellard was named to C-USA's All-Freshman Team and received honorable mention recognition. He was also recognized by College Football Network as an Fresman All-American Honorable Mention.
