2024 (Sr.) | 14/0: Thompson appeared in 14 games for WKU during the 2024 season, adding depth along the defensive line. He posted 30 tackles, with two sacks, one fumble recovery and one pass breakup. Thompson tallied a season-high five tackles at Liberty on Nov. 23, and his sacks came at Middle Tennessee on Sept. 14 and at Bostno College on Sept. 28. Thompson's fumble recovery came in the Sept. 7 game against Eastern Kentucky.
2023 (Jr.) | 13/0: Thompson was a key contributor for the Hilltoppers along the defensive line in 2023, appearing in all 13 of the team's games. He finished the year with 22 total tackles, five tackles for loss, two sacks, and one fumble recovery. His five tackles for loss ranked third on the team. Thompson had a season-high six tackles in WKU's season-opening win over South Florida on Sept. 2, and he returned the fumble recovery in the Sept. 23 game at Troy for 63 yards to set up WKU's first touchdown.
2022 (So.) | 14/0: Thompson played in all 14 games for the Hilltoppers in 2022. He compiled 21 tackles on the season, four of which were for loss with two sacks. He had a season-high four tackles against FIU and recorded sacks in back-to-back games against Charlotte and Rice.
2021 (Fr.) | 6/0: Thompson appeared in six games during his second season on The Hill, compiling two total tackles.
2020 (Fr.): Thompson was a member of WKU's practice squad and did not appear in a game in his first season on The Hill. He will retain his freshman year of eligibility due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
HS/Misc.: Thompson was a four-year starter at Bowling Green HS, where he helped lead his team to a 9-4 record as a senior. Totaled 128 tackles, 7.0 sacks and five fumble recoveries during his four seasons.
