Malcolm Hardmon will enter his first season with WKU Football as Associate Director of Strength and Conditioning; he was hired to the position in January 2021.
Hardmon came to The Hill with over five years of experience coaching collegiately, having been at Auburn University since 2017. He earned two degrees from Auburn: a bachelor’s in Fitness, Conditioning and Performance, with a minor in sports coaching, as well as a master’s in Adult Education.
Hardmon served as a graduate assistant athletic performance coach with the Tigers from January 2019 to January 2021. He also worked as a strength and conditioning intern for the Auburn women’s basketball team since June 2018 and as an operations supervisor for campus recreation and wellness center since August 2017.
Prior to working at Auburn, Hardmon was a mixed martial arts coach at Kage Fit in Opelika, Ala., from September 2014 to November 2016.
Hardmon is a certified strength and conditioning specialist and a certified FRC mobility specialist. He earned certifications for reflexive performance reset levels one and two, as well as first aid and CPR. He is also a licensed MMA fighter in Alabama and Tennessee.
