2024 (r-Sr.) | 14/11: Smith appeared in all 14 games for the Hilltoppers during the 2024 season and started the final 11 games of the season at receiver. He caught 31 passes for 406 yards and four touchdowns during the season. He had a season-high 76 yards receiving in the Boca Raton Bowl against James Madison on Dec. 18, and posted multiple receptions in 10 games. Smith's touchdowns came against Eastern Kentucky, UTEP, Liberty and James Madison. The receiver was also used on several trick plays, and completed 3-of-4 passes for 107 yards and two touchdowns. The touchdown passes came against Middle Tennessee on Sept. 14 and at New Mexico State on Nov. 9. Smith finished 10th in Conference USA in yards per catch (13.1). Smith finished his WKU career with 21 touchdown receptions, which is tied for fifth-most in program history. Prior to the season, Smith was named to the Allstate Wuerffel Trophy Watch List, the East-West Shrine Bowl 1000 Watchlist, the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team nominee list, the Phil Steele Preseason CUSA All-Conference First Team Offense (WR) and the Athlon Sports Preseason All-CUSA First Team Offense (WR).
2023 (r-Jr.) | 11/9: Smith appeared in 11 games with nine starts at receiver during the 2023 season for the Hilltoppers. He finished as WKU's second-leading receiver with 513 yards and six touchdowns on 50 catches. He posted a season-high three touchdowns in the 38-35 overtime victory against Old Dominion in the Famous Toastery Bowl, including two one-handed grabs, as well as a season-high nine catches in the win. Smith recorded a season-high 125 yards in the Nov. 18 victory over Sam Houston. He also had one rush for 25 yards, and threw a 32-yard touchdown pass to Craig Burt Jr. in WKU's regular-season finale at FIU on Nov. 25.
2022 (r-So.) | 14/3: Smith appeared in all 14 games for the HIlltoppers while making three starts on the year. He finished the year with 35 catches for 443 yards and four touchdowns. Smith provided WKU with an electric performance in the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl when he finished the game with six catches for 145 yards and a 44-yard touchdown reception. His receiving line wasn't all, though, as Smith also tossed a 25-yard touchdown pass on a trick play. He also turned in a big performance against Charlotte when he recorded 84 receiving yards and a touchdown. Smith's other touchdowns came in wins against Hawaii and FIU.
2021 (r-Fr.) | 12/2: Smith played 12 games for WKU and made two starts while helping the Hilltooppers win a Conference USA East Division Championship. He claimed 11 receptions on the year for 151 yards and five touchdowns. Smith had a season-high 45 receiving yards in the team's Boca Raton Bowl Championship against App State. He tallied 43 yards and a touchdown in Western Kentucky's home game versus UTSA.
2020 (r-Fr.) | 5/1: Smith played in five games, starting one on Oct. 17 at UAB, and caught four passes for 58 yards and two touchdowns. Had a 24-yard score on Sept. 19 vs. Liberty and a 26-yard touchdown on Oct. 10 vs. Marshall. Suffered a season-ending leg injury on Oct. 24 vs. Chattanooga while run-blocking on the edge. After rehabbing diligently over the winter, was a full participant in spring practices in March as he made the transition from tight end to wide receiver. He will retain his redshirt freshman year of eligibility due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
2019 (Fr.) | 4/0: Smith appeared in four games, primarily on special teams units, and redshirted his first season on The Hill.
HS/Misc.: Smith signed with the Hilltoppers in February of 2018. He grayshirted this past season while taking classes at WKU's Glasgow campus and joined the program in the spring of 2019. Smith played for head coach Jeff Garmon and starred in multiple positions as a senior for the Scotties. Offensively, he completed 67 passes for 920 yards and 13 touchdowns, rushed 65 times for 582 yards and 8 touchdowns and caught 20 passes for 444 yards and another 7 touchdowns. Defensively, he tallied 25 tackles and 3 interceptions. Smith competed in the 2017 Best of the Bluegrass All-Star Football Game and was named to the All-SKY Conference First Team as a defensive back. Rated as a three-star with an 85 composite score by 247Sports, ranking 12th overall in the state and 136th nationally as a wide receiver.
