2024 (r-So.) | 14/11: Newsom played in all 14 games for the Hilltoppers during the 2024 season with starts at right guard over the final 11 games of the season. Newsom helped anchor the offensive line for the top passing offense in Conference USA.
Before WKU: Newsom joined the WKU offensive line after a year at Itawamba Community College, where he appeared in all nine of his team's games this past season. He received Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference North Division honorable mention status. Newsom spent two seasons at Memphis prior to joining Itawamba.
