2019 (Fr.) | 4/0: Barber appeared in four games for the Hilltoppers and redshirted his first season on The Hill. He had three tackles and a quarterback hurry in his collegiate debut on Aug. 29 vs. Central Arkansas, then another three tackles – including his first-career sack – on Nov. 9 at Arkansas. He finished with seven tackles (three solo, four assisted) during his rookie campaign.
HS/Misc.: Barber played for Dragons' head coach Phillip Hawkins. At the time of his commitment in the Fall of 2018, had a team-high 24 tackles and four sacks. named to the All-USA Today Kentucky Football First Team, All-State Courier-Journal Second Team, All-District 4-5A Team and Metro Louisville All-Area Team in 2018, then was picked to compete in the Best of the Bluegrass All-Star Football Game. He was a Third Team Courier-Journal All-State honoree after his junior season, when he posted 48 tackles. Rated as a three-star with an 82 composite score by 247Sports, ranking 20th overall in the state and 103rd nationally as a strong-side defensive end. He chose WKU over Cincinnati, Indiana and Purdue.
