Before WKU: Humphreys transfers to WKU from Sam Houston, where he spent the past three seasons after starting his career at Butler Community College. He appeared in 25 games over his final two seasons in Huntsville, Texas, including 12 his final season with the program in 2025, when he caught 12 passes for 132 yards and a touchdown. In 2024, Humphreys played in 13 games and ranked second on the team with 20 receptions for 385 yards and four touchdowns. He did not appear in any games during his first season at Sam Houston in 2023 after suffering an injury in preseason camp. He spent his first two seasons of college at Butler Community College, where he appeared in seven games with 21 receptions for 335 yards and five scores.
