Before WKU: Allen spent two seasons at UT-Martin, where he redshirted his freshman year in 2014 and did not see any action in 2015 for the Skyhawks. He played his high school ball at Belleville West High School, where the Maroons went 7-3 overall in 2013. Allen earned 2013 Belleville News-Democrat All-City and All-Area accolades while playing on both sides of the ball. He was also named a First Team All-Southwestern Conference offensive tackle in his senior season at Belleville West HS.
