2017 (r-So.) | 11/0: Coffey played in 11 games on the season, tallying nine tackles as a redshirt sophomore. He had a career-high three tackles on Sept. 9 at Illinois, recorded a quarterback hurry on Oct. 7 at UTEP and recorded his first-career tackle for loss the next week vs. Charlotte. He also forced a fumble on Oct. 20 at Old Dominion, but it was quickly recovered by the Monarchs.
2016 (r-Fr.) | 7/0: Coffey saw action in seven games on the season, primarily as a reserve defensive tackle and on special teams. He tallied four total tackles on the season, including three assisted tackles.
2015 (Fr.): Coffey redshirted his first year on The Hill.
HS/Misc.: Coffey prepped at Russell County under coach Bill Sharp and played both defensive end and tight end for the Lakers. Coffey picked up Courier-Journal First Team All-State and 2014 All-Bluegrasspreps.com First Team honors for his play. Coffey was rated the 15th best football prospect in the state by 247Sports.com and was a Best of the Bluegrass All-Star as a senior. His sister, Kailey, plays basketball at Northern Kentucky and earned 2018 Horizon League All-Freshman honors.
