Before WKU: Pitts spent five years at Cincinnati, where he played in 38 total games – starting 22 – after redshirting during the 2016 season. Posted 77 total tackles (37 solo, 40 assisted) – including 17.5 for loss – with 9.5 sacks for the Bearcats. The majority of his damage came during the 2019 (30 tackles – including 9.5 for loss – with 5.5 sacks in 13 games) and 2018 (34 tackles – including 7.5 for loss – with four sacks in 13 games) campaigns. Started one game in 2020 and posted seven tackles, with a forced fumble vs. Army. Also accumulated four quarterback hurries, five pass breakups and a blocked extra point in his Cincinnati career.
HS/Misc.: Pitts played for head coach Ron Gartrell at Stephenson HS. Helped the Jaguars to a Region 6-AAAAA title while earning Division A Co-Defensive Player of the Year honors. Rated a three-star prospect by ESPN and 247Sports. Ranked No. 105 in the state of Georgia by ESPN and No. 175 in the state by 247Sports.
