2021 (Jr.) | 11/11: Brooks saw action as a starter in 11 games for WKU during the team's run to a C-USA East Division Championship as well as a Boca Raton Bowl Championship. He was tasked with protecting C-USA MVP and NCAA record-setting quarterback Bailey Zappe. As an offensive line unit, Britton and the rest of the Tops allowed only 17 sacks on the season, which was 12th best in college football and second best within Conference USA. His efforts led to a First Team All-Conference USA selection among several other postseason recognitions.
2020 (Jr.) | 12/12: With long-time starting right tackle Miles Pate wrapping up his career on The Hill, Brooks had large shoes to fill – and filled them very well. He started all 12 games and took 764 offensive snaps at the position, producing a PFF College’s Premium Stats 83.4 overall blocking rating in 2020, to rank second among Conference USA tackles behind Will Ulmer of Marshall, who had an 85.8 rating. His overall rating placed him 11th in FBS and his 77.5 pass blocking grade ranked tied for 41st in the nation. He will retain his junior year of eligibility due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
2019 (So.) | 12/0: Brooks appeared in all-but-one game for the Hilltoppers and played 14 total offensive snaps, while also seeing time on multiple special teams units. Of those 14 snaps, 13 came at the end of blowout wins at Arkansas and Southern Miss as WKU was running out the clock.
2018 (Fr.) | 7/0: Brooks played in seven games as a true freshman, seeing time as a reserve left tackle. He split time at left tackle in the seven games after 2018 starter Cole Spencer went down with a season-ending injury. Brooks saw 244 offensive snaps, the second-most by a true freshman offensive linemen in Conference USA. He was the lone freshman (true or redshirt) offensive lineman in the league to not allow a sack and was called for only one penalty.
HS/Misc.: Brooks played for head coach Chris Ross at Cedar Park HS and was an Honor Roll Student off the field for the Timberwolves. For his work up front, Brooks was named First Team All-District 19-5A in back-to-back seasons. He was rated as a two-star with a 77 composite score by 247Sports, ranking 255th nationally at his position and 451st overall in the state.
