2024 (r-Jr.) | 4/0: Owens appeared in four games during the 2024 season. He tallied one tackle, which came in the Oct. 30 win against Kennesaw State.
Before WKU: Owens spent two seasons at the junior college level with Butte Community College before transferring to WKU. The cornerback appeared in 19 games for Butte, tallying 62 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, a fumble recovery, two interceptions, and nine pass breakups. He played in 11 games in 2023 during his final season at Butte, finishing the year with 36 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, a fumble recovery, and six pass breakups. During his first season, he appeared in eight games with 26 tackles, two tackles for loss, two interceptions, and three pass breakups. Owens also played on the basketball team at Butte, averaging 15.3 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game over 18 games in 2023. The guard appeared in 35 basketball games during his junior college career, averaging 12.5 points while shooting 43.9% from the field.
