2022 (Grad) | 14/9: Hernandez appeared in all 14 games for WKU on the season and started the final nine games of the year. He made 36 tackles on the year, including 3.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks. Hernandez made a season-high five tackles against UTSA and recorded a solo sack in WKU's win at Charlotte. In WKU's New Orleans Bowl victory over South Alabama, Hernandez tallied three tackles and broke up a pass. The graduate transfer also added four quarterback hurries to his stat line during his lone season on The Hill.
Before WKU: Played two seasons at Monmouth. Second Team All-Big South selection as a senior. Played in 11 games, including 10 starts, on defense. Registered 25 tackles, 17 solo, and led the team with 10.5 TFL and five sacks. Also contributed an interception and fumble recovery. Also played at Asa College in New York.
HS/Misc.: Played defensive line under Brian Wright at Cherry Hill West High School. Held offers out of high school from Villanova, Delaware State, Lafayette, New Hampshire and Rhode Island.
