Before WKU: Wright appeared in 20 games for Fort Valley State at cornerback over two seasons prior to joining the WKU Football program. He tallied 55 total tackles, with one tackle for loss, as well as three interceptions and 13 passes defended. As a sophomore in 2023, Wright posted 29 tackles, an interception, and six passes defended, and during his first year he had 26 tackles, with one tackle for loss, two interceptions, and seven passes defended.
