2024 (Sr.) | 14/14: Johnson started all 14 games at wide receiver for WKU during the 2024 season. He led the Hilltoppers in receiving, and finished the season with 925 yards and seven touchdowns on 75 receptions. Johnson posted a season-best two touchdowns in WKU's Sept. 14 win at Middle Tennessee. He had a season-high 129 yards receiving that game against the Blue Raiders, and it was the second of back-to-back 100-plus yard receiving games. He also had 119 yards receiving in the Sept. 7 win over Eastern Kentucky. Johnson posted a season-high nine receptions in the Dec. 18 Boca Raton Bowl against James Madison. He ranked second in Conference USA in receptions per game (5.36), fifth in receiving yards per game (66.1), third in touchdown receptions (7), second in total receptions (75) and third in total receiving yards (925). He was named to the All-Conference USA Second Team Offense and he was recognized as a Phil Steele Postseason CUSA All-Conference Second Team Offense selection.
Before WKU: Johnson came to WKU from Alabama State, where he was the team's most productive receiver over the 2022 and 2023 seasons. He was named an All-America Third Team member by FCS Football Central and a First Team All-SWAC selection after leading the league in receiving yards (819/24th FCS), receiving yards per game (81.9/18th FCS), receptions per game (6.2/15th FCS), and receiving touchdowns (7). He was fourth in the SWAC in scoring with 4.8 points per game and fourth in total touchdowns with eight. In 2022 at Alabama State, Johnson led the Hornets with 31 receptions in nine games, posting 540 yards and three scores on those catches. He averaged 17.1 yards per reception and 58.89 yards per game. He played in all five games in 2021 during his first season with the program, mostly on special teams.
HS/Misc.: Johnson prepped at Ramsay High, where he caught 39 passes for 850 yards and nine touchdowns as a senior.
