2019 (r-Fr.) | 1/0: Thomas appeared in one game for the Hilltoppers, completing a six-yard pass to Ty Storey on a trick play on Nov. 23 at Southern Miss.
2018 (Fr.) | 3/0: Thomas appeared in three games and redshirted his first season on The Hill. He saw time on short yardage situations and rushed six times for 18 yards and one touchdown, which was a four-yard score on Oct. 13 at Charlotte with gave the Hilltoppers an early 7-6 lead in the first quarter.
HS/Misc.: Thomas played for head coach Bill Castle at Lakeland HS and was a team captain, leading the Dreadnaughts to the Florida state semifinals this past year. As a junior, he threw for 1,606 yards with 16 touchdowns while adding 282 yards and three scores on the ground, as he took his squad all the way to the Class 6A state title game. He is rated as a four-star with an 86 composite score by 247Sports, ranking 22nd nationally at his position and 108th overall in the state. He is the highest-rated high school recruit to ever sign at WKU. He chose WKU over eight others including South Carolina, Temple, USF, FIU, Florida Atlantic and Colorado State.
