Before WKU: Loftin transferred to WKU after spending two seasons at the junior college level with Jones College. He appeared in 16 games at linebacker for the Bobcats during that time with 46 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, one interception and three passes defended. He played in seven games in 2024 with 31 tackles and three tackles for loss. In nine games played in 2023, Loftin had 15 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, one interception and three passes defended.
HS/Misc.: Loftin prepped at West Jones High School in Mississippi, where he was considered a three-star prospect, according to ESPN and 247Sports. The latter ranked him the No. 48 player in the state. He was a Region 3-5A First Team selection as a junior and senior. He started playing football his junior season. Loftin's uncle, Jerrel Powe, played in the NFL with the Kansas City Chiefs, Houston Texans and Washington Redskins.
