HS/Misc.: Williams played for head coach Ulysses Hawthorne at Beach High School. He totaled 1,397 all-purpose yards in two years of varsity ball, with 62 rushes for 433 yards and eight touchdowns and 15 catches for 395 yards and four scores, while adding 385 kick return yards and three run-backs to go along with 143 punt return yards. Williams threw for 843 yards with 11 touchdowns as a senior, and added one interception for 42 yards as a junior. He was rated as a three-star with an 80 composite score by 247Sports, ranking 191st overall in the state and 310th nationally at his position. He chose WKU over Ball State, Coastal Carolina, Georgia Southern and Georgia State.
