2022 Conference USA Defensive Player of the Week (Sept. 5)
2022 (r-Sr.) | 14/11: Oliver was a key fixture in WKU's defensive backfield for all 14 games in 2022 while also making 11 starts. He made 63 tackles on the year, 3.5 of which were for loss with two sacks. One of Oliver's biggest games of the season came in Week 2 when he intercepted two passes and broke up another one in the Hilltoppers' win at Hawaii. That effort led to Oliver being named C-USA Defensive Player of the Week. Oliver recorded a season-high eight tackles in games against UTSA and Rice, and recorded sacks in back-to-back games against Rice and Auburn. He also recorded an addition interception against Rice. Oliver's fourth interception of the season came in the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl when he saved a touchdown by picking off a South Alabama pass in the end zone. His performance helped the Tops beat the Jaguars by a score of 44-23. Oliver received Conference USA Honorable Mention honors at the end of the season.
2021 (r-Jr.) | 14/1: Oliver played in all 14 games for WKU during the team's run to a Conference USA East Division Championship. He totaled 32 tackles on the season and recorded two pass breakups. Oliver's best game of the season came against Michigan State when he made seven tackles and broke up one pass.
Before WKU: Oliver spent four years at Georgia Tech, where he played in 33 total games – starting 10 – after redshirting during the 2017 season. Accumulated 92 total tackles – 52 solo, 40 assisted – including 7.5 for loss and two sacks. Also added nine pass breakups, three interceptions, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery. Had a career-high eight tackles vs. The Citadel on Sept. 14, 2019. Recorded an interception in his collegiate debut vs. Alcorn State on Sept. 1, 2018. Had picks at Clemson and at Temple during the 2019 season. Had sacks against Notre Dame and Duke in back-to-back games in 2020.
HS/Misc.: Oliver played for head coach Kevin Creasy at Oakland HS, helping lead the Patriots to the Tennessee Class 6A state championship game in 2016. Racked up 82 tackles – including 16.5 for loss – with three sacks, three fumble recoveries and an interception as a senior, and was subsequently named First Team All-State. Was rated as a four-star prospect and the nation's No. 29 safety by Rivals. Majored in Business Administration at Georgia Tech.
