Martinez contributed on both sides of the ball for St. Lucie West Centennial High School in Port Saint Lucie, Fla., playing along both the offensive and defensive fronts. Martinez was named to the Orlando Sentinel[apos]s MidEast Florida Super60 list prior to the 2012 football season, ranking 13th among the 60 players listed. The 6-3, 275-pound lineman was also mentioned as one of the Best of the Treasure Coast by the Palm Beach Post in 2012. Martinez and St. Lucie West Centennial went 5-5 during his junior campaign of 2011, winning a district title for the first time since the 2003 season.
