2018 (Fr.) | 12/1: Appleberry rushed 56 times for 196 yards and three touchdowns, playing in all 12 games as a true freshman. Two of those three touchdowns came in his most notable performance of the year on Oct. 20 vs. Old Dominion, where he had 18 attempts for 80 yards, including a long rush of 24 yards in that game. Other statistics for Appleberry included three receptions for 25 yards, leading to 221 all-purpose yards.
HS/Misc.: Appleberry played for head coach Kareem Reid at Westlake High School where he was a team captain on the field and an Honor Roll student in the classroom. He rushed for 1,128 yards on 173 carries as a junior with eight touchdowns on the ground, while adding 303 yards and one touchdown on 12 receptions. Appleberry capped his high school career with 483 yards on 89 carries as a senior with eight touchdowns this past year. He was a two-star by 247Sports with a rating score of 79, ranking 124th nationally at his position and 173rd overall in the state. He chose WKU over 17 others including Michigan State, Oregon State, Rutgers, Florida Atlantic, Appalachian State and Fresno State.
