2017 (r-So.) | 2/0: Gonzalez appeared in his first games as a Hilltopper in back-to-back weeks on Oct. 7 at UTEP and Oct. 14 vs. Charlotte.
2016 (r-Fr.): Gonzalez did not see any action as a redshirt freshman.
2015 (Fr.): Gonzalez redshirted his first season on The Hill.
HS/Misc.: Gonzalez enjoyed an All-State second team season at Manual High School in Louisville for coach Oliver Lucas. As a senior, Gonzalez had 35 tackles (29 solo) to go along with a pair of sacks, eight pass breakups and one interception, helping his squad to an 8-4 mark in 2014 and the No. 5 rated team in Kentucky. Gonzalez was also the team’s primary kick returner, tallying a team-high 498 yards on the season. Gonzalez was ranked as the No. 21 player in the state of Kentucky by 247Sports.
