As a senior, he posted 30 tackles, with three for loss and one sack, in 12 games, according to his team's MaxPreps account. He had two quarterback hurries, an interception and nine passes defended. He had 37 tackles in 12 games as a junior, with one for loss, plus two interceptions, seven passes defended and a fumble recovery.
