Before WKU: Morris came to the Hill after three successful seasons at UAB, where he tallied 54 tackles in 35 games for the Blazers over his career. In 2014, he started 11 of 12 games and recorded 20 tackles, two tackles for loss, blocked a kick and returned a fumble 43 yards for a touchdown against North Texas. He was a primary piece of UAB's defensive tackle rotation during all three of his seasons in Birmingham, starting 19 of 35 games and playing in all but one possible game since 2012. The Albany, Ga. native attended Albany High School before his collegiate career, where he was named the Region I-AA Co-Defensive Player of the Year as a senior after posting 55 tackles, 17 tackles for loss, four sacks and four forced fumbles.
