Before WKU: Carroll arrives on The Hill after spending three seasons at Division II Carson-Newman, where he appeared in 33 games with 53 receptions, 903 yards and six touchdowns. In his final season with the program in 2025, Carroll posted 15 receptions for 255 yards and a pair of touchdowns in 10 games played and finished as the team's leading receiver. He also finished as the leading receiver for the Eagles as a sophomore in 2024, catching 23 passes for 364 yards and four touchdowns, with a long reception of 73 yards. He also rushed the ball seven times for 148 yards and a 64-yard touchdown. He finished as Carson-Newman's second-leading receiver in 2023 as a freshman with 15 catches for 284 yards, appearing in all 11 games with four starts.
HS/Misc.: Carroll prepped at Mays High School in Georgia, where he was a two-sport star. He was an all-region selection during his prep career, and also finished fourth in the state in the 110-meters hurdles for the track team.
