Before WKU: Griffin spent three seasons prior to joining WKU at Gardner-Webb. He appeared in 16 games over the 2024 and 2025 seasons with 22 tackles, five tackles for loss and one pass defended. The majority of his production came during his final season with the program in 2025, when he posted 20 tackles, five tackles for loss and the pass defended over 12 games. He arrived at Gardner-Webb after spending the 2022 season at Mississippi Valley College, where he saw action in three games and redshirted.
HS/Misc.: Griffin prepped at St. Martinville High School in Louisiana, where he helped guide the Tigers to a 12-4 record and the 2021 3A District 6 Championship during his senior season.
