2019 (r-Jr) | 13/7: Madden appeared in all 13 games for the Hilltoppers, including seven starts. He totaled 31 tackles – including two for loss – one sack and two quarterback hurries. He started the last seven games of the season due to an injury Jeremy Darvin, and performed very well, accumulating 23 of his 31 tackles in those contests. He had four tackles – including his lone sack of the season for a four-yard loss – on Oct. 26 at Marshall. On Nov. 30 vs. Middle Tennessee, he had a carreer-high seven tackles.
2018 (r-So.) | 9/0: Madden recorded five tackles, including one sack, as he more than doubled his games played from his previous season with nine. His most notable performance came on Nov. 10 at Florida Atlantic, recording a season-high two tackles and a sack for four yards lost.
2017 (r-Fr.) | 4/0: Madden appeared in the first four games of the season, seeing time as a reserve defensive tackle, but missed the remainder of the season due to injury.
2016 (Fr.): Madden redshirted his first season on The Hill.
HS/Misc.: Madden prepped at Northridge High School under coach Michael Smith. He led the Jaguars to a 9-3 record and to the second round of the Class 6A playoffs as a senior. He recorded 37 tackles, 6.5 for loss, and had two sacks. he was ranked as a three-star prospect by 247sports.com and Scout.com while Rivals.com rated him a two-star prospect. Scout rated him as the No. 5 defensive tackle in Alabama while 247Sports rated him as the No. 74 player in the state.
