2019 (r-Jr) | 13/8: Pearson appeared in all 13 games as a Hilltopper and had a breakout season at the slot receiver position. He finished tied for second in Conference USA with 76 carries and ninth with 804 yards, while his seven touchdowns tied for third in the league. On the national scope, he finished tied for 27th in receptions and 84th in yards. He and Lucky Jackson were only 1-of-5 FBS teammate duos who each had at least 75 catches and 800 yards. He had a career-high 10 receptions and 120 yards – including a career-long 69-yard score – on Nov. 9 at Arkansas. He had at least five receptions in 11 games and at least 50 yards in nine contests. He also added a 10-yard punt return in the First Responder Bowl.
2018 (r-So.) | 8/2: Pearson started two contests and appeared in eight games as a redshirt sophomore, with a career-high 13 receptions and 132 yards. He tallied multiple receptions in five straight games and totaled 20-plus yards in four of those contests, including a career-high 43 yards on Nov. 2 at Middle Tennessee. Pearson had a career-long reception of 29 yards against the Blue Raiders.
2017 (r-Fr.) | 10/0: Pearson finished his redshirt freshman season with seven receptions for 40 yards, including a career-long 24-yard catch in the Cure Bowl against Georgia State. He also contributed on the ground with two rushing attempts for 14 yards on Sept. 16 vs. Louisiana Tech. He had three kickoff returns for 44 yards on Nov. 11 at Marshall, serving as the Hilltoppers’ primary returner that night.
2016 (Fr.): Pearson redshirted his first season on The Hill.
HS/Misc.: Pearson came to The Hill from Flanagan High School under head coach Devin Bush. He helped Flanagan win the school’s first state championship, winning the Class 8A final over Osceola, 26-7. In his senior season, he had 43 catches for 645 yards and six touchdowns and was selected to the All-Broward team. He was a ranked as a three-star prospect by 247Sports.com and a two-star by Scout.com and Rivals.com.
