2024 (r-Jr.) | 14/14: Wheeler started all 14 games on the defensive line for the Hilltoppers during the 2024 season. He finished the year with 75 tackles, which ranked second on the team. Wheeler posted five tackles for loss, two sacks, two quarterback hurries, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and two blocked kicks. He recorded a season-high nine tackles in the Nov. 9 win at New Mexico State, while his forced fumble came in the Aug. 31 opener at Alabama and the fumble recovery was also at New Mexico State. The blocked kicks came in the Oct. 16 win at Sam Houston and in the Nov. 16 game against Louisiana Tech. Wheeler finished 28th in CUSA in total tackles, and he was first among defensive tackles. Wheeler was named to the Lombardi Award Watch List prior to the season, and following the season he was named to the 2024 All-Conference USA First Team Defense (DT), the 2024 Phil Steele Postseason CUSA All-Conference Second Team Defense (DT) and the 2024 CUSA Football All-Academic Team.
2023 (r-So.) | 13/11: Wheeler played in all 13 of WKU's games during the 2023 season with 11 starts. The defensive tackle recorded 42 total tackles, including three for loss and two sacks, a forced fumble, an interception, and a quarterback hurry. One of Wheeler's sacks, as well as the forced fumble and interception, came in the Sept. 16 game at No. 6/4 Ohio State. He posted season-highs of six tackles in back-to-back games at Troy and against Middle Tennessee on Sept. 23 and Sept. 28, respectively. Wheeler was named Conference USA All-Conference Second Team Defense as a defensive tackle.
2022 (So.) | 4/0: Wheeler appeard in four games for the Hilltoppers during his first season on The Hill. He recorded his lone tackle of the season in the team's 44-23 victory over South Alabama in the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl.
Before WKU: Played one season at Sacramento City College. Appeared in nine games and made 24 tackles.
HS/Misc.: Prepped at Franklin High School in Elk Grove, Calif.
