2024 (Sr.) | 14/14: Young started all 14 games at running back for WKU during the 2024 season and finished second on the team in all-purpose yards with 1,267. He was WKU's top rusher with 883 yards and three touchdowns on 201 attempts, and he finished third on the team in receiving with 384 yards and two touchdowns on 47 catches. He recorded two 100-yard rushing games – against Kennesaw State on Oct. 30 and in the Conference USA Championship Game at Jax State on Dec. 6 – and had a season-high two rushing touchdowns in the Sept. 7 win over Eastern Kentucky. He had season highs of seven catches and 78 yards receiving in the regular-season finale against Jax State on Nov. 30, and also had a touchdown reception in that game. Young also had a rushing touchdown in the Nov. 16 game against Louisiana Tech and a touchdown reception in the Oct. 16 game at Sam Houston. Young ranked sixth in CUSA in rushing yards per game (63.1), fourth in total rushing yards (883), fourth in all-purpose yards (1,267), ninth in yards per rush (4.39) and fourth in rushing attempts (201). He was named to the Phil Steele Postseason CUSA All-Conference Second Team Offense (RB) following the season, and prior to the season he was named to the Doak Walker Award Watch List, the CUSA Preseason Watch List, the Phil Steele Preseason CUSA All-Conference Second Team Offense (RB) and the Athlon Sports Preseason All-CUSA Third Team Offense (RB).
2023 (Jr.) | 13/10: Young appeared in all 13 games with 10 starts at running back during his first season on The Hill. He led the team in rushing with 474 yards and three touchdowns on 104 attempts, and added 247 yards and three touchdowns on 20 receptions. Young posted a season-best 139 yards and two touchdowns – with a season-long 64-yard run – in WKU's Nov. 4 victory at UTEP, and carried the ball a season-high 15 times during the Hilltoppers' win over Sam Houston on Nov. 18. Young had a season-high 84 yards receiving against New Mexico State on Nov. 11, and recorded a touchdown reception in that game – he also had touchdown receptions against Liberty on Oct. 24 and against Old Dominion in the Famous Toastery Bowl on Dec. 18. He posted a season-high four receptions twice – against Liberty and at FIU in the regular-season finale on Nov. 25. Young also returned eight kicks for 128 yards.
Before WKU: Young played three seasons in the SEC at Missouri before joining the Hilltoppers. He appeared in 28 games through three years, totaling 333 yards on 66 carries with one touchdown.
HS/Misc.: Young prepped at South Doyle High School in Knoxville, Tenn. He was the state of Tennessee's Class 5A Mr. Football and the Tennessee Gatorade Player of the Year. He was rated a three-star recruit by all major recruiting services.
