2020 (r-Fr.) | 2/0: Johnson played in two games, primarily on special teams units, and recorded a tackle on Nov. 21 vs. FIU. He will retain his redshirt freshman year of eligibility due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
2019 (Fr.): Johnson redshirted his first season on The Hill.
HS/Misc.: Johnson played for Wildcats' head coach Alan Rodemaker, just like current Hilltopper safety Antwon Kincade. Johnson was named First Team Region 1-6A as a senior and junior, when he made 61 tackles - including 12 for loss - with an interception returned for touchdown. Rated as a three-star with an 81 composite score by 247Sports, ranking 175th overall in the state. He chose WKU over Kennesaw State, Samford, Liberty and Youngstown State.
