2014 (So.): Young played in 10 games during his sophomore season, contributing as a special teams ace and a pass rusher on defense, posting 10 tackles (seven solo). He posted a career-high four tackles at FAU, two of which were solo stops. Young tied a career-high two solo tackles in a win over UTEP.
2013 (Fr.): Young saw his lone action of the season come against Morgan State where he tallied a solo stop.
HS/Misc.: Young prepped at Boyd Anderson High School, registering 29.5 sacks and 140 total tackles in 2012 to go along with 38 tackles for loss, three interceptions and pair of touchdowns. Young led Boyd Anderson to a 10-3 season in 2012, leading a defensive charge that held opponents to less than 12 points per game while holding eight of its 13 opponents to single-digit scoring outputs. Young was named Honorable Mention All-State as a linebacker following the 2012 season while also earning a spot on the All-Broward Football Team by The Miami Herald.
