2019 (Fr.): Powell redshirted his first season on The Hill.
HS/Misc.: Powell played for head coach Joe Call, leading the Green Wave to an 11-3 record and a runner-up finish in the South Carolina Class 5A Lower State Championship. Powell was named to the All-USA Today South Carolina Football First Team and All-Lowcountry First Team. Rated as a three-star with an 82 composite score by 247Sports, ranking 29th overall in the state and 145th nationally as an offensive tackle. He chose WKU over App State, Marshall and Georgia State.
