2024 (r-Jr.) | 12/0: Herard appeared in 12 games for WKU during the 2024 season, adding depth at the safety position. He finished the year with 17 tackles and a fumble recovery, which came in WKU's Nov. 9 win at New Mexico State. Herard had a season-high four tackles in WKU's win at Sam Houston on Oct. 16.
Before WKU: Herard appeared in 20 games over four seasons at Virginia, including 11 of the Cavaliers’ games during the 2023 season with seven starts. In his final year at Virginia, the safety posted 40 tackles, with two tackles for loss, a forced fumble, and two passes defended. He appeared in a combined nine games across the 2022 and 2021 seasons, and did not appear in any games during his first year with the program in 2020.
HS/Misc.: Herard prepped at Stranahan High School in Florida, where he played cornerback and quarterback. He made 64 tackles, with two tackles for loss, two sacks, and six interceptions in 2019 defensively, and added 845 yards and 11 touchdowns on 47-of-81 passing. He also rushed for 180 yards and a score on 32 carries, and caught 31 passes for 450 yards and three touchdowns. He was considered a three-star recruit by ESPN, Rivals, and 247Sports. Herard also played basketball and helped Stranahan to the 2019 6A state championship, averaging over 18 points per game.
