WKU Career | 66/66: Munson appeared in a program-record 66 games duing his five seasons at WKU, starting each game as the team's kickoff specialist, while also handling field goal and PAT, as well as punting, duties when called upon. Munson kicked off 387 times as a Hilltopper, with those kicks traveling a total of 23,572 yards. He averaged 60.9 yards on kickoffs with 195 touchbacks. He went 20-of-32 on field goals in five years with a long of 52 yards – the game winner in the 2019 First Responder Bowl. He punted 12 times – all in his senior season – for 480 yards with three traveling 50-plus yards, three landing inside the 20-yard line, and three resulting in fair catches. Munson totaled 19 tackles in five years.
2023 (Sr.) | 13/13: Munson was WKU's kickoff specialist for all 13 games during the 2023 season. He kicked off 70 times for 4,458 yards – an average of 63.7 yards – with 42 touchbacks. He also took over punting duties for the final four games of the season, booting it 12 times for 480 yards – an average of 40 yards per punt – with three traveling 50-plus yards, three landing inside the 20-yard line, and three resulting in fair catches. He had one tackle during the 2023 season.
2022 (Jr.) | 14/14: Munson served as WKU's kickoff specialist for all 14 games during the 2022 season. He kicked off 91 times on the year for a total of 5,642 yards. Of those 91 kickoffs, 38 resulted in touchbacks. Munson also handled field goal duties for WKU's 44-23 victory in the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl. He made three of four attempts with a long of 31, and converted all five of his PAT attempts.
2021 (So.) | 14/14: Munson handeled kickoff duty for all 14 games during WKU's run to a Conference USA East Division Championship. He booted 111 kicks for 6,574 yards. His average kickoff traveled 59.2 yards and he recorded 63 touchbacks.
2020 (So.) | 12/12: Munson took all of the Hilltoppers' kickoffs for the second straight season, booting 49 for an average of 58.5 yards. Sent 19 into the end zone for touchbacks, while three went out of bounds. Added three tackles on kickoff coverage, pushing his career total to seven in only two years. He will retain his sophomore year of eligibility due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
2019 (Fr.) | 13/13: Munson capped his rookie year with one of the most exciting moments in WKU Football history, making a 52-yard field goal on an untimed down to give the Hilltoppers a 23-20 victory in the First Responder Bowl. It was the 26th walk-off field goal in a bowl game since 2000 (676 games in that span), and the longest of any of those 26 game-winning kicks (**not confirmed** but it may be the longest walk-off field goal in a bowl game in NCAA history). For the season, he made 17-of-28 field goals and 39-of-40 extra points for a total of 90 points scored. He took 66 kickoffs for WKU with an average of 61.1 yards and 33 going for touchbacks. He executed surprise onside kicks that the Hilltoppers recovered in back-to-back weeks on Sept. 7 at FIU and on Sept. 14 vs. Louisville. He also made four tackles on kickoff coverage, including one at the 14 yard line on Nov. 9 at Arkansas.
HS/Misc.: Munson kicked for Eagles' head coach Kevin Kinsler. As a junior, made 17-of-23 field goals, including a program-record 59-yarder, which was the longest in the state that season. Also had 27 touchbacks on 52 kickoffs and averaged 41.1 yards on 54 punts, including a long of 71. Rated as a three-star with an 81 composite score by 247Sports, ranking 5th nationally as a kicker, and earned a five-star rating from Chris Sailer Kicking. He chose WKU over Georgia Southern and Georgia State.
