2020 (r-Jr.) | 12/12: Spencer started all 12 games on the campaign, pushing his streak to 23 consecutive starts, while taking 764 offensive snaps at the left tackle position. With a PFF College’s Premium Stats 78.2 overall blocking rating in 2020, he ranked third among Conference USA tackles, behind only teammate Mason Brooks' 83.4 and Will Ulmer of Marshall, who had an 85.8 rating. His 84.7 pass blocking grade led all C-USA tackles and placed him 11th in FBS. Allowed only one sack and one quarterback hit all season. He will retain his redshirt junior year of eligibility due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
2019 (r-So.) | 13/11: Spencer played in all 13 games for the Hilltoppers, taking 813 offensive snaps and starting 11 contests at the left tackle position. He led Conference USA tackles with a 81.8 overall blocking grade and 87.4 pass blocking grade by PFF College’s Premium Stats. His pass blocking grade ranked 13th among all tackles in the nation, while his overall blocking grade tied for 22nd. In addition, his 72.9 run blocking grade tied for third in C-USA. He was the only C-USA tackle who did not let up a sack or did not get called for a penalty. He allowed only three quarterback hits, four hurries and five pressures all season.
2018 (So.) | 3/3: Spencer started the first three games of the season at left tackle and played all 223 snaps at left tackle, but missed the remainder of the season due to an injury he suffered on Sept. 15 at Louisville. He was granted a redshirt to restore his sophomore year of eligibility. He allowed only one sack and was called for one penalty in those three contests.
2017 (Fr.) | 5/5: Spencer started the final five games of his true freshman season at right tackle after not appearing in his first eight games on The Hill.
HS/Misc.: Spencer spent his prep career at Trinity HS under coach Bob Beatty. As a senior, he led the Shamrocks to a KHSAA 6-A state title going 15-0 on the year. He was a three-year letterwinner while contributing to the team his sophomore year in 2014 as Trinity won the state title. He picked up All-State second team honors from the Courier-Journal as a senior. His father and mother both played tennis at the University of Louisville while his aunt was a member of WKU’s women’s basketball team when the Lady Toppers made their run to the Final Four in 1992.
