The 2023 WKU Football season will mark the first year on The Hill for William Vlachos as the team’s Blitz & Run Game Specialist.
Vlachos joined WKU after one season as the offensive line coach at Central Michigan in 2022.
Before linking up with the Chippewas, Vlachos spent two years at Colorado where he served as a quality control coach, specializing as a defensive blitz and offensive front specialist.
Vlachos started his collegiate coaching career at his alma mater, Alabama, as a graduate assistant in 2013 and 2014. He was then promoted to be a quality control coach in 2015 and spent three seasons in that role. Following his time with the Crimson Tide, Vlachos spent one season in the NFL as an offensive assistant coach with the Buffalo Bills.
Vlachos starred as an offensive lineman at Alabama and was a First Team All-American and two-time First Team All-SEC performer. Between his time as both a player and coach with the Crimson Tide, Vlachos was part of four national championship teams.
