Lou Bunning serves as a graduate assistant coach for the Hilltoppers, working primarily with the offensive line under assistant coach Stephen Hamby. He was a volunteer coach with tight ends and special teams in 2020.
Bunning played offensive line for Lindsey Wilson College from 2015-to-2019. He was First Team All-Mid-South Conference in 2019 and was a two-time team captain in 2019 and 2018. In 2021, Bunning was named as one of the five offensive linemen on the Blue Raiders’ All-Decade Team.
Bunning graduated from Lindsey Wilson with a dual degree in Criminal Justice and Communication. He is currently working towards a graduate degree in Recreation and Sport Administration at WKU. Originally from Fort Thomas, Ky., Bunning went to Highlands High School.
