Chad McField enters his first season as a strength and conditioning assistant with the Hilltopper football program.
McField comes to WKU from the University of Georgia where he worked with Hilltopper head strength coach Justin Lovett. While at UGA, McField completed his Master of Science in Kinesiology program while serving as an intern in the Bulldog's strength program.
Beginning at Georgia in 2012, McField began working with the Bulldog football and baseball programs before moving over to assist with volleyball, men's basketball, track and field, swimming, gymnastics and baseball in 2013. Additionally, while in graduate school, McField was a teaching assistant with the Kinesiology Department, instructing classes in weight training and self-defense.
Prior to going to Georgia, McField was a student-athlete for the football team at Coastal Carolina where he was a four-year letterwinner for the Chanticleers. McField walked on to the team in 2007 and worked his way to a full scholarship by his senior year.
Following his senior season, McField worked in the department's weight room, assisting with football, men's and women's soccer, track and field, women's tennis, baseball and volleyball. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Exercise and Sport Science from the school in May 2012.
McField is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association as well as CPR/AED/First Aid certified from the American Red Cross
