Alec Lettl is in his first season as a graduate assistant coach for the Hilltoppers on the defensive side of the ball. He comes to The Hill from VMI, where he was a defensive assistant for the Keydets. He graduated from Otterbein University – in Westerville, Ohio – where he was a four-year member of the football team and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in sport management in May of 2020.
While a student at Otterbein, Lettl served as an assistant defensive line and quality control coach at nearby Ohio Dominican University in Columbus, Ohio, from January to December of 2019. He assisted in the coaching and management of the defensive line and managed the team’s film crew, the sharing of film and film analysis for the defensive side of the ball. He also contributed to the weekly game planning for the defense, assisted with recruiting efforts and oversaw all pre-practice game/field setup and tear down, including the drills setup and preparation of the coaching staff headsets.
Originally from Seven Hills, Ohio, Lettl went to Padua Franciscan High School. He served as an assistant coach for the Bruins in the summer of 2017.
