Clayton Bush South Warren HS Highlight Tape
HS/Misc.: Bush became the first commit of the 2019 class on Dec. 21, 2017. He is the son of former Hilltopper linebacker Wayne Bush, who played on The Hill from 1985-88. Bush played for head coach Brandon Smith, leading the Spartans to a 15-0 record and a Kentucky Class 5A Championship. During the 2018 season, SWHS outscored opponents 624-to-145. As a senior, caught 29 passes for 619 yards as a wide receiver and 11 touchdowns, while making 58 tackles and seven interceptions on defense. As a junior, caught 37 passes for 616 yards and seven touchdowns as a receiver, with 63 tackles and one interception on defense. Bush was named to the All-USA Today Kentucky Football First Team and All-State Courier-Journal First Team in 2018, then was picked to compete in the Best of the Bluegrass All-Star Football Game. In his junior season of 2017, he was named to the All-SKY Conference Second Team as a wide receiver. Rated as a two-star with a 78 composite score by 247Sports, ranking 33rd overall in the state. He chose WKU over South Carolina, South Florida, Middle Tennessee, Miami (Ohio), Marshall, Florida Atlantic, FIU, Appalachian State, Tulane, Troy and UAB.
