2015 (r-Fr.) | 6/0: Jackson made an immediate impact in his redshirt freshman season, appearing in six games as a reserve defensive back. In his first game as a Hilltopper, the 2016 season opener against Rice, Jackson picked off his first career pass in the endzone to thwart an Owl scoring drive in the fourth quarter. He finished the year with two tackles as well as three pass breakups and four passes defended.

HS/Misc.: Aldwin “AJ” Jackson prepped at Seneca High where he played for coach Lavell Boyd. Jackson was rated the No. 8 player in Kentucky by 247Sports.com, the No. 1 corner in the state and No. 13 corner in the Midwest region by Scout.com. Jackson earned Courier-Journal First Team All-State honors and Associated Press All-State honorable mention honors and participated in the Kentucky-Tennessee Border Bowl where he recovered one fumble and had an interception as well as the 2014 Best of the Bluegrass All-Star game. He combined for 13 interceptions over his junior (10) and senior (3) seasons and returned five for touchdowns.
