2013-14 (Junior) - (CC): Miller scored points for WKU in all five of the meets she raced in during her first season on The Hill...She was WKU's top finisher in her first-career meet in a Lady Topper uniform, finishing 34th overall at the Commodore Classic with a 5K time of 18:10.80, which was her top time of the season...Miller recorded her best individual finish at the Evansville Invitational, where she placed ninth among the field with a 18:47.92 clocking...At the SBC Cross Country Championships, Miller was WKU's No. 3 finisher at 18:56.4, which earned her 17th-place honors. (Indoor): Miller ran primarily middle distance events for the Lady Toppers during her first outdoor season, recording season-bests of 2:20.40 in the 800-meter run, 5:09.61 in the mile and 10:25.16 in the 3,000-meter run...At the SBC Indoor Championships, Miller ran the anchor leg for WKU's distance medley relay that finished fourth. (Outdoor): Miller scored points for WKU in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the SBC Outdoor Championships, placing seventh with a career-best time of 11:03.31...She posted season bests of 4:54.45 in the 1,500-meter run and 18:13.21 in the 5K.
IOWA CENTRAL CC: Miller was dominant in cross country and track as a distance runner for the Tritons, earning 13 All-American honors and leading Iowa Central to back-to-back NJCAA National Championships in cross country during her two seasons. She was also a driving force behind Iowa Central's 2013 Outdoor National Championship and 2012 Indoor National Championship, which set the NJCAA record for lowest-team score at the championships. Miller won two national championships individually as well, capturing top honors in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the 2012 NJCAA Outdoor Championships and anchoring the Tritons National Champion 4X800-meter relay in 2013 . She was national runner-up in the 5,000-meters at the 2012 Indoor and Outdoor Championships, finished second in the 3,000-meters at the 2013 NJCAA Indoor Championships and runner-up in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the 2013 NJCAA Outdoor Championships. She left the Tritons as the school record holder in the Indoor 5,000-meters with a time of 17:46.18. Cross country wise, Miller led Iowa Central to consecutive NJCAA National Championships and earned individual All-American honors in both years. She was also a two-time All-American in the half-marathon and was named Iowa Central's Female Athlete of the Year in for the 2012-13 school year.
HIGH SCHOOL: Miller was a four-year letter winner in track and cross country at Sumner Fredericksburg High School in Sumner, Iowa, winning every regular-season cross country race as a senior on her way to All-State and All-Conference honors. She was also an All-State, All-Conference performer on the track, winning an individual state title in the 3,000-meters. She holds Sumner Fredericksburg's records in the 800, 1,500 and 3,000-meters. Miller was also a basketball letter-winner and was named the MVP of the Upper Iowa Conference Senior All-Star Game in 2011.
