Norton Children's Superhero of the Game
Throughout the season, WKU Athletics and Norton Children’s come together to recognize the young Superheroes in our community. Despite the obstacles in their way, our Superheroes of the Game live life to the fullest and we are proud to partner with Norton Children’s to highlight their inspiring stories.

Norton Children’s Superhero – September 24
- Everyone give a warm welcome to Cooper Reinbold – our Norton Children’s superhero of the game!
- Cooper is a brave 9-year-old from our home town of Bowling Green, Kentucky
- Cooper was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS, a rare type of soft tissue cancer) at Norton Children’s Cancer Institute at 7 years old.
- Today, thankfully, Cooper is in remission, and he continues with quarterly scans to ensure he stays that way.
- Despite his diagnosis, Cooper is an unstoppable little boy with big dreams who loves baseball, video games, and playing with his little brother Cole and sister Whitley Drew. He hopes to become a Major League Baseball player, but if that doesn’t work out, he’d like to be a shoe designer when he grows up.
- Let’s all GO GOLD for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month for Cooper. Give a round applause to our Norton Children’s Superhero – Cooper Reinbold!
