Her favorite memory at WKU wasn't a specific moment, but the people she met and shared her time with.
“I will never forget the feeling of riding on the bus and blasting music before a game, the relentlessness and fight you put in each practice/game for each other, or the feeling of the final whistle and celebrating a win together,” said Fitzgerald. “It's crazy to think that strangers become sisters and the people you lean on the most. Soccer has given me forever best friends, some of my most trusted mentors, and some of the best experiences thus far in my young life. WKU soccer introduced me to people that had the same drive and passion I did for the game. Over my 5 years at WKU, I met people that were willing to push me on and off the field to reach a potential that I sometimes did not even know I had. I feel very honored and humbled being named to the 20th anniversary team. Although I have closed that chapter of my life, I know WKU will always be a community that will be there for me.”

Andrea Doogs played center midfield for WKU Soccer from 2001 through 2004. Every game Doogs was motivated to fight for the win and was relentless in that pursuit, and that shows in her records. Doogs is tied for the eighth most all-time in career assists, tied for fourth all-time in matches started, and her single-season record of seven assists in 2003 is tied for fifth all-time.
Doogs was a two-time Sun Belt All-Conference selection, becoming the program's first First Teamer in 2003.
Her fondest memories revolve around the team-building experiences her Lady Topper soccer team had, namely camping with her team and their trip to Spain. Doogs graduated from WKU in 2006. Originally from Elizabethtown, she currently lives in Louisville with her dog Ruby and works as a physical therapist assistant.

Sarah Gorham (2014-18)
Position: Midfielder
Number: 10
Hometown: Lexington, KY
Sarah Gorham’s favorite memory of her Lady Topper Soccer career isn’t about a specific instance, but rather a specific player. Gorham had a great connection with Nicole Roseland, her fellow midfielder for three seasons. Gorham was named to the All-Conference USA Second Team in 2018.
“We were always in sync and, for me, knowing where she was on the field or where she was going to be was automatic,” said Gorham. “In my eyes, that was the best part about college soccer - clicking with my teammates on the field. Since I’ve been playing overseas, I now know how rare that can be.”
Gorham graduated from WKU in 2019. She scored 10 goals and registered seven assists in her time with the Lady Toppers, playing in 70 matches and starting 53.
She is originally from Lexington, but Gorham currently lives in Limassol, Cyprus and plays professional soccer for the Nea Salamina Famagusta Football Club.
“I feel very thankful to have been a part of a program that makes past players still feel like they are a part of the team,” Gorham said. “Many thanks to Jason and the coaching staff for this recognition, I wouldn’t be the player or person I am today without everyone I met through WKU Soccer.”
