Matt Morrison joined the WKU athletic department in July 2006 and now serves as Associate Athletic Director for Marketing and Ticket Sales. Morrison graduated from WKU with a degree in sport administration in 2007 and earned his master's degree in sport management in 2008.
Morrison oversees all phases of marketing and ticket sales for WKU. Morrison is responsible for marketing all sports at WKU while creating plans that will generate increased ticket sales and attendance. This includes the creation of comprehensive marketing and advertising plans, developing and implementing crowd interactive promotions and communicating with group and corporate sales offices in an effort to maximize revenue while improving the fan experience.
Since Morrison began to oversee ticket sales, WKU has reached all-time highs in revenues and attendance in every sport. Total football ticket revenue has increased over 115 percent while the overall total ticket revenue has increased nearly 60 percent.
In addition to WKU's athletic events, Morrison also oversees all phases of ticketing and promotions for concerts, high school games and special events on WKU's campus.
Morrison graduated from Bowling Green High School in 2003, and he and his wife, Melanie, have two daughters, Hadley and Madeline.
