2014 (r-Jr.): Holt started all 13 games of the 2014 season at middle linebacker and led WKU 111 tackles (62 solo), ranking fourth in C-USA and 62nd nationally. He also led the team with four quarterback hurries and ranked third with seven tackles for loss and three pass break-ups. Holt tallied at least seven tackles in 11 of 13 games, with 10+ tackles in five of those games. He had back-to-back 12 tackle performances at Illinois and Middle Tennessee. Holt posted consecutive 11-tackles outings versus UAB and FAU. Holt recovered a fumble to set up WKU's first score in a comeback win over Navy.
Before WKU: Holt tacked on 61 tackles for the City College of San Francisco and coach George Rush including 32 solo tackles, the second-highest mark on the squad. He added 7.5 tackles for loss with 1.5 sacks as well as a forced fumble and an interception. Holt was rated as the No. 11 inside linebacker prospect among all junior college players by 247Sports.com.
HS/Misc.: Holt played quarterback and linebacker at Seattle Prep for coach D.R. Clawson and was the Co-Defensive MVP of the Metro League Mountain Division in 2010, as well as first-team All-Metro as quarterback and linebacker. He was also named first-team 3A All-State by the Associated Press and is the son of current WKU defensive coordinator Nick Holt.
